My daily commute as of now is 30 miles one-way! Will an electric vehicle cut it?
End of the hunt !
After much research and heart-wringing on how much to spend on a commute car, I finally settled for Hyundai Sonata 2011 GLS. Sporty looks, sans the sporty ride :-). I'd hate to get my rib cage rattle all of 60 miles each day. Offers 22 MPG city and 35 Highway. Let's see. The computerized display has never shown me more than 29 MPG though 90% of my driving is highway at 70-75 mph. Have talked to the dealership about it. I am also going to compute the MPG manually the old-fashioned way. If it really is 35+ as the salesman claimed, I would give the car a 10/10. It's practically a luxury car minus the luxury name. Below are reviews:
Agreed this is not a green vehicle but comes pretty close with the promised 35 MPG. Plus lot sexier than a Prius !
